- The festival Aude en Pyrenees. The festival Aude
en Pyrenees is in late May or early June in the Haute
Vallee de l'Aude (the upper vally of the Aude).
It encourages children of all ages to experience a range
of outdoor activities. Competitions, demonstrations and
initiations make up this four day festival. Activities
include rafting, kayaking, off-road biking, dinosaur fossil
excavating, an introduction to forestry in the Forêt
des Fanges, hiking, rock climbing, mountain climbing and
kite flying. The festival takes advantage of local features
such as the Cathar
castles, the scenic yellow
train and the Dinosaur

- Festival of water sports, Alet-les-Bains, Aude département. Held on the first weekend in June each year. Alet has many water sports facilities and a tree park. The water sports festival celebrates these and the village also throws a repas (public meal which people can buy tickets for), and hosts an antique market / flea market and various other attractions.
